Angie Smith was born in 1981 in Eugene, Oregon. She picked up her first camera, her father's manual Olympus, at the age of twelve. Her love of photography eventually led her to Bard College, where she studied for four years under the mentorship of Larry Fink.
Upon completion of her degree, Angie moved to New York City to exhibit her work, and gain experience as a Photo Editor at several major magazines.
In May of 2007, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career as a freelance photographer.
Angie currently exhibits her work in galleries in Los Angeles and New York. She is represented by Redux Pictures, and shoots for clients such as: The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, Forbes, Budget Travel, and Nike.
